A 29-year-old woman died after three pedestrians were struck by a vehicle on Gării Călărețului road in the capital on Wednesday, according to police.
The Capital’s Road Brigade was alerted to the accident following an emergency 112 call. Preliminary information indicates that a 43-year-old driver was traveling from Drumul între Tarlale toward Pantelimon road when the vehicle struck three pedestrians.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.

One of the three pedestrians, a 29-year-old woman, died following the accident.
The other two pedestrians, identified as the mother of an injured minor and his grandmother, were transported to hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities have not released further details about the conditions of the two injured pedestrians.

Following the collision, police tested the 43-year-old driver with a breathalyzer.
The test reportedly recorded a 0.00 result, indicating that no alcohol was detected.
